PEEL AND STICK AND NON-PASTED WALLPAPER APPLICATION
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use peel and stick wallpaper in your bathroom, but there are a few essential things to consider. Firstly, it's important to note that it should not be in direct contact with water, which means it's not suitable for use in shower areas or areas regularly exposed to water. If you need to install the wallpaper where it may be exposed to water, we recommend sealing it with a clear waterproof sealer.
Secondly, it's very important to ensure that the surface to which you're applying the wallpaper is dry. Any moisture on the wall can prevent the wallpaper from adhering correctly and could cause it to peel or come loose over time.
Finally, it's important to note that peel and stick wallpaper may not work well in bathrooms with extra humidity, such as those with improper ventilation. If the humidity levels in your bathroom are consistently high, it's possible that the wallpaper may not adhere correctly or could start to peel over time.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
You can use non-pasted wallpaper in the bathroom. However, it's important to note that bathrooms tend to be high-humidity environments, which can cause traditional wallpaper to peel or warp over time. It's also important to properly ventilate your bathroom to help prevent excess moisture buildup. When installing non-pasted wallpaper, we recommend using standard pastes made for paper-based non-woven wallpapers, such as Roman PRO-880 Ultra Clear (available in the US) or Methylan Direct (available in Europe). These pastes are made to work well with non-woven wallpapers, helping to ensure a secure and long-lasting installation. With proper care and maintenance, non-pasted wallpaper can be an excellent option for adding style and personality to your bathroom.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use peel and stick wallpaper as a backsplash, but there are a few essential things to remember. Firstly, ensure that the surface you're applying the wallpaper to is clean, dry, and smooth. Any bumps or imperfections on the surface could cause the wallpaper not to adhere correctly or create air bubbles.
Secondly, it's important to note that peel and stick wallpaper should not be installed in areas close to heat sources or open flames. This means it's not suitable for use behind a stove or cooktop, for example.
Finally, if you're installing peel and stick wallpaper on drywall, we recommend using a primer first to help the wallpaper adhere more effectively.
While peel and stick wallpaper can be an excellent option for a backsplash, following these guidelines is essential to ensure that it looks great and lasts for as long as possible.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
Non-pasted wallpaper can be used as a backsplash, but it's essential to choose the right type of wallpaper and take the necessary precautions to protect it from moisture, stains, and fire. Keep in mind that wallpaper may not be as durable or easy to clean as traditional backsplash materials like tile or metal, so it's essential to be mindful of spills and splatters. Additionally, it's important to keep the wallpaper away from open flames or other heat sources to avoid the risk of fire. With proper care and maintenance, non-pasted wallpaper can be a stylish and affordable alternative to traditional backsplash materials.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use peel and stick wallpaper on concrete, but it's essential to ensure the surface is smooth, clean, and debris-free. We also recommend using lining paper before applying the wallpaper to create a smooth texture and help the wallpaper stick better.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
Non-pasted wallpaper can be used on concrete surfaces, but adequately preparing the surface first is essential. We recommend cleaning the concrete surface thoroughly and using lining paper to help the wallpaper adhere properly. Keep in mind that the final look and durability of the wallpaper installation may depend on the condition and texture of the concrete surface, and excessive moisture can cause the wallpaper to peel or warp over time.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
While it's generally not recommended to use peel and stick wallpaper on textured walls, we have higher-quality wallpaper that may adhere to lightly textured walls. However, we recommend purchasing a sample first to test whether it works on your walls. Apply it to your wall and wait for 2-3 days. If it hasn't peeled off in those 3 days, the wallpaper should be suitable for your walls. It's also essential to ensure the wall's surface is clean and dry before applying the wallpaper to help it adhere properly and create a smoother finish. We recommend contacting us if you have any concerns about using peel and stick wallpaper on a textured wall.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
Our non-pasted wallpaper is not recommended for heavily textured walls, but you can use it on lightly textured walls with proper preparation and care. We recommend testing a sample before purchasing to ensure it will adhere properly. It's also essential to properly prepare the surface by cleaning it thoroughly and smoothing out any rough or uneven areas. Once the surface is clean and smooth, you can apply wallpaper paste directly to the wall and install the wallpaper as you would on any other surface. Remember that the final look and durability of the wallpaper installation may depend on the texture and condition of the wall surface. Additionally, it's essential to be aware that removing wallpaper from a textured surface may be more complicated than removing it from a smooth surface.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can apply our peel and stick wallpaper to tiles, provided that the tiles are clean, smooth, and free of any loose or chipped material. Please note that the joints between tiles may be visible, depending on the thickness of the grout and the pattern of the wallpaper. We recommend buying a sample first to test it on your wall. It is essential to remember that our wallpaper is not made for areas with high humidity or moisture, such as an area near a shower or bath. . With proper preparation and application, our peel and stick wallpaper can be an excellent option for refreshing the look of your tiled surfaces.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
Non-pasted wallpaper can be used on tiles, but choosing the right type of paste is essential., It's also important to remember that the tile's surface should be clean and free from dirt, dust, or debris. Additionally, if the grout lines between the tiles are deep, they may show through the wallpaper. We recommend lining paper on top of the tiles before installing the non-pasted wallpaper to avoid this. Once you have prepared the surface, you can apply wallpaper paste directly to the tile and install the wallpaper as you would on any other surface. However, it's essential to be aware that removing wallpaper from a tile may be more complex than removing it from different surfaces.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use our peel and stick wallpaper on wood, plywood, and other wooden materials. However, we recommend purchasing a sample and testing it on the material you intend to use first. While our wallpaper is designed to adhere to various surfaces, different types of wood may have varying levels of porosity and smoothness that could affect how well the wallpaper sticks. Testing a sample first ensures the wallpaper will adhere properly and look great on your wooden surface.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
While our non-pasted wallpaper can be used on various surfaces, we advise against using it on wood, plywood, or other wooden materials. The adhesive used in our non-pasted wallpaper may not adhere properly to these surfaces and may cause damage or peeling.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use our peel and stick wallpaper on kitchen cabinets to give them a fresh look. However, it's vital to ensure that the surface of the cabinets is clean, dry, and free of any dirt or grease that could prevent the wallpaper from sticking correctly. Please note that our wallpaper may not adhere properly to oil-based paints, so you should prime the surface beforehand.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
While our unpasted wallpaper can be used on various surfaces, we advise against using it on kitchen cabinets. The adhesive used in our unpasted wallpaper may not adhere properly to the surface of the cabinets and may cause damage or peeling.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use our peel and stick wallpaper on paneling to give it a new look. However, it's essential to ensure that the paneling's surface is clean, dry, and free of any dirt or grease that could prevent the wallpaper from sticking correctly. Remember that, over time, adhesives can impact the paneling surface, and we cannot guarantee that the paint on the paneling will remain unchanged. With proper preparation and application, our peel and stick wallpaper can be an excellent option for updating the look of your paneling.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
Non-pasted wallpaper can be used on paneling, but choosing a suitable wallpaper paste and taking the necessary precautions to ensure a solid and lasting bond is essential. However, keep in mind that, over time, adhesives can impact the paneling surface, and we can't guarantee that the paint on the paneling will stay the same over time. We recommend using lining paper on top of the paneling to avoid any issues before installing the non-pasted wallpaper. Once you have prepared the surface, you can apply the wallpaper paste directly to the paneling and install the wallpaper as you would on any other surface. However, it's important to be aware that removing wallpaper from paneling may be more complex than removing it from different surfaces. With proper preparation and care, non-pasted wallpaper can be a stylish and unique way to update the look of your paneling.
PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER
You can use our peel and stick wallpaper on your ceiling to add interest and dimension to your space. However, it's essential to ensure that the surface of the ceiling is clean, dry, and free of any dirt or grease that could prevent the wallpaper from sticking correctly. Remember that while our wallpaper is designed to adhere to various surfaces, applying it to the ceiling may be more challenging due to the angle and positioning. We recommend getting a second person to help with the application. Additionally, it's important to note that our wallpaper is not recommended for use in areas with high humidity or moisture, such as a bathroom or kitchen ceiling.
UNPASTED WALLPAPER
It's possible to use non-pasted wallpaper on the ceiling, but it can be more challenging to install due to the angle and the fact that you're working above your head. Additionally, the wallpaper may require a stronger paste to ensure it adheres properly to the ceiling. As with any wallpaper installation, we recommend using caution and safety precautions to ensure a successful and safe project.

LABEL MEANING AND CERTIFICATES
OEKO-TEX label indicates that the wallpaper has been tested for harmful substances and is harmless for human health, whereas PVC-free stands for materials that are free from polyvinyl chloride. This means our wallpaper is perfectly suitable for sensitive environments.
PVC-free stands for "polyvinyl chloride-free." PVC is a plastic-type commonly used in many products, including wallpaper. There has recently been some concern about PVC's environmental impact and potential health hazards. As a result, some manufacturers, like us, La Grand Classique, make their products without this material. Choosing PVC-free products can reduce the amount of plastic waste in landfill and oceans and reduce potential exposure to harmful chemicals.
La Grand Classique's non-pasted traditional wallpaper has been tested and certified to have a fire rating of C, according to European fire standards outlined in EN 13501-1. Having this standard means that in the event of a fire, the wallpaper has a limited contribution to the fire's spread. We are committed to providing our customers with safe and high-quality wallpaper products that meet rigorous safety standards.
FSC-certified means that a product has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, an international non-profit organization that promotes responsible management of the world's forests. FSC certification ensures that the product comes from responsibly managed forests that meet strict environmental, social, and economic standards. These standards provide that the woods are governed in a way that protects biodiversity, preserves the rights and well-being of local communities, and maintains the economic viability of the forest for the long term.

It's important to ensure that wallpaper lasts as long as possible and maintains its appearance. Here are some tips for caring for your wallpaper:
- Avoid direct sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause wallpaper to fade or discolor over time.
- Clean regularly: Dust and dirt can accumulate on wallpaper over time, so it's essential to clean it regularly. You can gently remove dirt or dust by using a soft, dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.
- Avoid moisture: Moisture can damage wallpaper, so it's essential to avoid getting it wet. If you need to clean a stain, use a damp cloth with mild detergent and gently blot the stain. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing, as this can damage the wallpaper.
- Repair any damage: If your wallpaper gets damaged, such as with a tear or puncture, repair it as soon as possible to prevent further damage. You can use a small amount of wallpaper paste to glue the torn area back together or a patch if the damage is more extensive.
- Be careful with furniture: Do not scratch or damage the wallpaper when moving furniture around.
Following these tips can help keep your wallpaper looking great for years to come.
For more detailed information visit the wallpaper care guide.
Start at the top corner and gently pull firmly, evenly, and very slowly, working parallel to the surface. Be careful not to overstretch the material. If you encounter resistance we recommend heating the area with a regular blow dryer on the HOT setting to weaken the adhesive and easily remove it from the surface.
When installed using a strippable adhesive (for example, Roman PRO-880 Ultra Clear®), non-woven wallpaper can easily be removed without damaging walls. On installations that may have used a more aggressive wallpaper adhesive, non-woven wallpaper can be removed using Roman’s wallpaper and paste removal tools and concentrate.
Remove wallpaper by peeling the wallpaper off—slowly up or down at a 90-degree angle from the wall.
